We want to thank you for being here today in response to the invitation to honor in a very simple but heartfelt way Our Blessed Mother Mary, on this beautiful day of May.
Our Lady of Schonstatt has been with the Holy Family community since the very beginning of its opening, listening to all the prayers of her children and interceding for each one of us.
Today we want to bring to our memory a special season. It was 10 years ago, August 2015, when the community was shattered by the passing of one of their students, Mathew Pettinato, who was in 4th grade. He had a twin sister, Sarah. Shortly after his passing, Aloys, the little brother of the “Baudon de Mony” family, lost suddenly his life in an accident. In addition to that, a new family in the community with a student in pre-k was already grieving the loss of their little boy, Andres, who passed also in an accident just a few months before Matthew and Aloys. In two weeks, the school was grieving the loss of three children, holding those families with their prayers and countless acts of love.
But something else happened: Our Blessed Mother showed Her presence in a very powerful and tangible way, especially among the mothers of the Rosary Group. The following Fridays, while praying together and sharing their pain, not only the pain of the grieving mothers, but also the pain and sorrows of others who were carrying their own crosses, the Rosary gave them the opportunity to experience what we can almost say were sacred moments of grace and hope. Lots of graces and lots of hope! The power of the Rosary is amazing!
Today, we want to thank God for the greatest gifts He gave us, His only Son and His own Mother as our real Mother! And we want to ask Him to never let us forget that we have a Mother who is always with us. and ahead of our trials and sorrows, warning us, advising us, protecting us, and consoling us! She is the real safe place, and if we really listen to Her, we will never be lost! Mother Thrice Admirable! Pray for us! Queen of Angels, pray for us!
****Thank you, for all you have done for our school! May God bless these faithful women of God!
