In keeping with our school's mission to develop the whole child, spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically, Holy Family is committed to promoting a positive attitude towards a healthy lifestyle. One of several ways that the school can support this philosophy and goal is to ensure that students have access to a strong athletic program for boys and girls. In that endeavor, the school offers various athletic teams, beginning at the 5th grade.
Holy Family Catholic School is a member of the Capital Area Private and Parochial Schools (CAPPS) league, which serves to encourage and promote athletic competition between 14 private schools in the Austin metro area. Students in fifth through eighth grades are offered an opportunity to participate in the athletic program in various sports held throughout the year. Each year teams are formed for volleyball, flag football, basketball, soccer, track and field, tennis, cross-country, and golf.
We are committed to the development of good sportsmanship among members of our school community. In order to facilitate positive attitudes and proper behavior, Holy Family participates in the Play Like a Champion Today (PLACT) - Sports as Ministry program. Our coaches, parents, and students all participate in a training session to understand the key elements of good sportsmanship. The PLACT program helps all of us to work together to ensure the best sports experience for our student-athletes, and it embodies our commitment to the development of the whole child.
For more information about the athletic schedule of events go to the Community Calendar. You may also find athletic documents and paperwork in our Parent Documents section.
