Trust Like Mary: A Morning of Prayer and Reflection
On behalf of the Holy Family Catholic School Parent Association, we would like to thank all mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures who joined us on September 18th for our “Trust Like Mary” Mothers Retreat. We are especially grateful to Sister Rene Noel of the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, for leading our community in prayer and reflection on how to live in the footsteps of our Blessed Mother Mary. The retreat and Holy Hour were a beautiful opportunity to grow together in faith, encouragement, and grace. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this special morning possible.
Gathered as One: Our School Family in Adoration
Last Friday, our entire student body gathered for our first all-school Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Deacon Dan Lupo of Saint Thomas More Catholic Church guided our students in prayer and reflection, helping them grow in understanding and reverence for Christ’s presence among us.
St. Teresa of Calcutta reminds us, “When you look at the Sacred Host, you understand how much Jesus loves you now.”
Parent Education Series Begins with “Everything 8th Grade”
On Thursday, September 11, we began our 2025–2026 Parent Education Series with a session titled Everything 8th Grade. Families received valuable guidance on the application process for St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School, key 8th grade events, and ways to walk with their children this school year. We are blessed to journey with our families during this important year as we prepare our students for the next chapter in their education and faith journey.
Our next session in the Parent Education Series will take place on Thursday, September 25, from 8:15–9:15 a.m. in the Holy Family Library Classroom. The topic will be Counselor Corner: Mental Health & Catholic Anthropology. We invite all parents to join us as we continue building faith, knowledge, and connection together.
A Special Milestone: Our Youngest Students Join in Mass
Our Pre-K and Kindergarten students attended Mass yesterday for the very first time this school year. Their joy and reverence remind us of the beauty of seeing faith through the eyes of children. Please keep our youngest Angels in your prayers as they continue to grow in faith, knowledge, and love of Christ.
Back-to-School Nights Celebrate Faith, Family, and Learning
Last week, Holy Family Catholic School hosted two Back-to-School Nights—one for Pre-K through 4th grade and another for 5th through 8th grade. Each evening began in the gym with welcome messages from school administrators and our school counselor, followed by an introduction to the new Smart Families initiative. The Parent Association also shared this year’s budget and highlighted volunteer opportunities. Parents then walked through their students’ class schedules, met teachers face-to-face, and enjoyed connecting with fellow families.
We are grateful to everyone who joined us. Your presence reflects the strong partnership between home and school, and together we look forward to a year filled with faith, growth, and learning.
