Growing in Faith at NET Retreat 2026

April 16, 2026
By Gabby Hinojosa

Earlier this week, on Tuesday and Wednesday, our 6th and 7th grade students stepped away from the classroom for our annual NET Retreat, a meaningful time of faith, fellowship, and fun. Hosted by NET Ministries, we were blessed to once again welcome this incredible team, whose young missionaries engaged and inspired our students in their faith. A heartfelt thank you to our parent volunteers who help make days like this possible.

The Holy Family 8th Grade trip this year was extremely special!
They visited the San Antonio Holocaust Memorial Museum where students learned about second and third generation Holocaust survivors, whose Grandfather helped with part of the Kindertransport, and what it means to be an upstander.
They visited the San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology-had a tour and scavenger hunt!
The big event - A Sea World sleepover -  in the SHARK aquarium. Students experienced up close and behind-the-scenes encounters!
Students, faculty, and parent volunteers had lots of learning and made great memories together before this crew moves on to high school.

A Beautiful New Chapter for Holy Family

April 14, 2026

We were grateful to celebrate the Grand Opening of our newly completed St. Benedict Middle School Library last week. Our school community gathered for this special moment as Father Lijo Thomas, Parochial Vicar of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church led the blessing of the new space. It was a beautiful way to mark the opening of a place dedicated to learning, discovery, and growth. This milestone would not have been possible without the incredible dedication of our librarian, Dr. Verity Kahn, whose vision and leadership helped bring this space to life. Dr. Kahn also shares her gratitude, noting that this project is a true testament to our amazing school community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate. Light refreshments and time together made the afternoon even more meaningful as we welcomed this new chapter for our middle school students.
