Holy Family PA Hosts Meaningful Fathers Retreat

March 26, 2026
By Gabby Hinojosa

Today, the Holy Family Catholic School Parent Association welcomed dads, grandfathers, and father figures for a meaningful Fathers Retreat centered on faith, fellowship, and spiritual growth.

Led by Father Enrique Sada-Coeto of Saint William Catholic Church, the morning invited men to reflect on the role of prayer in their daily lives, especially as spiritual leaders within their families. Through a simple yet powerful framework, fathers were encouraged to move beyond routine prayer and enter into honest, personal conversations with God.

We are grateful to our Parent Association for hosting this opportunity and to all the fathers and father figures who took time to be part of this impactful morning.

STEM Night Opens Minds

March 11, 2026
By Susan Laielli

The annual STEM Night at Holy Family, March 10, was a mind-opening experience!  Students designed a filtration system to remove microplastics and macroplastics from water bodies! Some students used a triple filtration system. All will be tested after spring break.
One student's family created a safety container to safely launch an egg, while another STEM group programmed a robot to solve a Rubik's Cube!  And yet another group created a pathway to fire our brain neurons through sweet and sour candy! We even had a lava lamp making station!

Holy Family Students Compete at PSIA Academic District Meet

March 09, 2026
By Gabby Hinojosa

On February 28, Holy Family Catholic School students put their academic talents to the test at the PSIA Academic District Meet hosted at Brentwood Christian School. After months of preparation, 75 HFCS students competed in 147 events across 18 academic categories, showcasing their skills in everything from math and science to art, writing, and speech. We are especially proud of the 31 students who qualified for the PSIA State Meet, which will take place May 2 at Texas State University.

A big thank you to the many parent, teacher, and grandparent volunteers who coached and supported our students throughout the season. More highlights from the competition will be featured in the upcoming issue of The Sentinel.
