By Gabby Hinojosa

Thank you to all the families who joined us last night for Humanities Night! Our students proudly showcased their creativity and hard work across several subjects.

From the impressive student works displayed in the gym to the musical performances in the Faith building and everything else in between, the night was filled with learning, laughter, and community spirit.

Veterans Day Assembly

November 11, 2025
By Gabby Hinojosa

Today, our middle school students gathered in the pavilion for a special Veterans Day Assembly honoring the brave men and women who have served our country. We were honored to welcome two guest speakers:

  • Sister James Karol Grieshop, Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, who teaches math at St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School. Sr. James Karol is a proud graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force until 2017.
  • Mrs. Katina Wong is a mother of 2 students (including one middle schooler) here at Holy Family Catholic School. She is a graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and former U.S. Coast Guard member who spent time aboard the USCGC Tampa as well as served at the Coast Guard Headquarters Command and Control Center in Washington, D.C.

Both shared their inspiring military experiences and answered thoughtful questions from our students.

A heartfelt thank you to our speakers for their service and for joining us today to help our students reflect on the true meaning of Veterans Day.
